Dr Judith Buchholz

Dr Buchholz completed a Clinical Masters degree in 2001, at the Australian National University. This training developed core skills in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Dr Buchholz furthered her education by completing a PhD in 2007, where core knowledge and skills were developed in the area of Neuropsychology. As part of her professional development, Dr Buchholz has undertaken additional training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (Advanced), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (Advanced).

Prior to private practice, Dr Buchholz has worked in a variety of settings. In the public hospital system she has worked in the psychiatric, neurosurgical and, aged care and rehabilitation areas, providing neuropsychological assessment of cognitive functions following brain injury or disease. She has also worked in the general medicine area, providing clinical assessment and psychological intervention for conditions related to depression, anxiety, pain-management, grief and trauma.

  • holds AHPRA endorsement in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology.

  • is AHPRA endorsed as a supervisor to provisional psychologists, registrars seeking endorsement and peers.
